Raw footage

Raw footage is retained for a limited period following project completion.

  • cloud-based archival systems

Final films and long-term preservation

While Retold creates the film, long-term preservation is part of a shared responsibility.

We guide clients on how to:

  • securely store their film

  • maintain access over time

  • pass it on to future generations

This may include:

  • multiple backups

  • cloud-based archive services

  • physical storage solutions

Music and third-party material

Films may include:

  • music

  • archive recordings

  • or materials provided by the client

Where copyrighted material is used:

  • it is intended for private viewing only

Responsibility for how the final film is:

  • stored

  • shared

  • or made public

…rests with the client, particularly where third-party rights may apply.

Third parties

We do not sell or distribute personal data.

Where necessary, trusted third-party services may be used (e.g. storage platforms), strictly for the purpose of delivering your project.

These providers are selected carefully and required to meet appropriate data protection standards.

Marketing and communications

You will only be contacted:

  • in response to your enquiry

  • or as part of your project

We do not send unsolicited marketing communications.

International clients

Retold may work with clients based outside the UK.

Where necessary, data may be processed or accessed internationally in order to deliver the service, while maintaining appropriate safeguards.
